Editorial standards
Accuracy, independence, and respect come before volume.
Businesses cannot purchase our conclusions, and research tools cannot manufacture experience.
Independence
PlanWellAbroad does not sell favorable conclusions. A hotel, hospital, immigration firm, property developer, financial company, or other business may not purchase a positive review, ranking, or recommendation.
Accuracy before speed
Publishing more content is useless when the content is shallow, repetitive, or wrong. Government rules, tax, immigration, healthcare, banking, driving, and financial decisions require stronger sourcing than lifestyle commentary.
Respect for Thailand
We discuss practical frustrations without treating Thai culture as a problem to solve. Warnings about scams, nightlife, traffic, bureaucracy, or cultural misunderstandings should be specific and proportionate. Isolated behavior should never become a judgment about an entire country.
Firsthand experience
PlanWellAbroad does not claim firsthand experience that did not occur. Direct visits and personal transactions may be described as such. Information learned through research is described as research.
Commercial relationships
Relevant sponsorships, affiliate relationships, complimentary services, and other material connections will be disclosed. Payment does not guarantee coverage and does not control the conclusion.
Editorial technology
Research and editorial tools may assist with organization, drafting, comparison, and quality control. Published work remains subject to human responsibility. Tools must not invent experience, quotations, credentials, prices, or authority.
