01
The short version
The strongest reason to stay is not the beach. It is how easy Anantara makes it to slow down without running out of things to do.
The rooms work well, the grounds are well kept, and the staff are welcoming. What pushed the resort onto our recommended list was the activity schedule. Muay Thai, yoga, tennis, pickleball, archery, gym access, and other options give the stay more substance than a normal weekend by the pool.

02
The activities make the stay
We tried both Muay Thai and tennis. Group sessions were included during our stay. Guests could also use a tennis or pickleball court free for one hour per day, with rackets included.
Private lessons were available too. Private Muay Thai and tennis lessons were 1,000 THB per hour during our visit.
The activity calendar is not filler. It is one of the best reasons to choose this resort.

03
Rooms, grounds, and service
Our garden-view room with breakfast cost about US$135+ per night in low season. The room was comfortable, and the greenery throughout the property made the resort feel removed from the busier parts of Hua Hin.
Breakfast was included, and the omelet was a solid start to the day. Service remained attentive throughout our stay without making the resort feel formal or stiff.

04
Meet Rocky
Rocky, the resort's resident parrot, greets guests around the property. It is a small detail, but a memorable one that fits the resort's personal feel.

05
Sea Fire Salt is the dinner recommendation
The food at Sea Fire Salt was good, and the ocean view was the highlight. The restaurant gave us a reason to stay at the resort for dinner instead of heading into town.
We had steak, fish, and several other dishes. The meal held up to the setting, and the service matched the rest of the property.
Recommended for dinner, even if you are not staying at the hotel.

06
What to know before booking
The beach is better for the view than swimming. If getting into the sea is the main reason for your Hua Hin trip, that distinction matters.
The resort is north of central Hua Hin, but it does not feel isolated. A Grab ride made it easy to reach the center when we wanted restaurants, markets, or a change of scene.
Choose Anantara for the setting, activities, service, and Sea Fire Salt, not for a swimming beach outside your room.
