Hospitals & healthcare

Research access before you need care.

Hospital choice is only one part of healthcare planning. Location, insurance, routine care, emergencies, and ongoing prescriptions all matter.

Map care from the places you are considering

Check travel time during ordinary traffic, emergency options, relevant specialties, language support, and after-hours access. Verify details directly with the facility.

Separate routine and emergency needs

The most visible international hospital may not be the only facility you use. Consider routine appointments, dental care, diagnostics, pharmacies, and what happens outside normal hours.

Read the insurance terms, not only the benefit headline

Confirm networks, exclusions, waiting periods, preauthorization, deductibles, direct billing, and geographic coverage with the insurer or a qualified adviser.

Start with official directories

Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health publishes health-system information, while its health-facility code directory identifies registered facility types. Hospital services should still be confirmed directly.
